Dr. Parfait Atchade is a Research Affiliate at the MIT Media Lab (City Science) and Chief Quantum Innovation Officer and Co-Owner of Lighthouse Disruptive Innovation Group (LDIG). He holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, specializing in quantum algorithms for hard constrained optimization problems, and has extensive experience bridging fundamental research with real-world industrial applications.
His research focuses on quantum optimization, hybrid quantum-classical computing, quantum machine learning, large-scale simulations, and computational modeling of complex systems. In recent years, he has been exploring the integration of quantum computing with urban science, infrastructure optimization, human-centered systems, behavioral modeling, and artificial intelligence, developing novel computational frameworks for next-generation decision support.
Dr. Atchade has led and contributed to multidisciplinary research initiatives spanning mobility, smart cities, healthcare, and optimization, while actively collaborating with academic and industrial partners to accelerate the practical adoption of emerging quantum technologies. His work combines rigorous mathematical modeling with scalable computational methods, aiming to transform how complex optimization and simulation problems are addressed in both scientific research and real-world environments.
His current research investigates how quantum computing can redefine large-scale optimization, consensus formation, and simulation, opening new computational paradigms for engineering, urban systems, and complex decision-making.
