María José (MJ) Díaz Delgado is a Master's candidate in the M.S. in Physics – Quantum Computing (MSPQC) Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Software Pathway), conducting research in randomized quantum measurements within Matthew Otten's Quantum Information Science group. My current focus consists of Quantum Eigensolver Algorithms.
Due to my undergrad in applied mathematics, my scientific work can be summarized in one sentence: building bridges between the pure math branches (such as abstract algebra, quantum geometry and topology, etc) and the adaptation of new technologies. Same essence, different areas, that include mathematical applications to:
- My current research.
- Quantum physics in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO): as an improvement to the lasers experiment "Violation of Bell's Inequality," I proposed a solution without extra measurements, materials, or steps — just verifying that the measurements (in a particular order) satisfies the symmetry of the function of the angular distance between the two laser dial settings (for the Quantum Computing Laboratory course).
- Quantum-circuit AI model applied to binary emotion prediction ("joy" or "sadness") on a tweet dataset, inspired by Quantum Neurocognitive Theory (for the ML in Physics course).
- Work experience on the statistical report project for VISA in the Venezuelan platform of all national and international transactions (MYPS).
